17 Goals on My Mind
Sculpture Park in Annebergparken
- Part of UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred
THE ARTISTS ARE NOW SELECTED
17 artists have now been selected to create a sculptural interpretation of a
UN Sustainable Development Goal for a sculpture park in a UNESCO Geopark site.
Thank you very much for all the applications to our new sculpture park in Annebergparken, part of UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred. We have received around 60 applications from all around the world, and selected 17 national and international artists with good experiences and qualifications.
We are looking forward to follow the projects.
About the project
17 Goals on my Mind will engage 17 contemporary artists, who would each create an artistic interpretation of a Sustainable Development Goal. Sculptures will be placed in Annebergparken, a huge former hospital complex for psychiatric patients with a very special atmosphere and extraordinary architecture and landscape. The artists are expected to involve a societal group from the Odsherred municipality. Groups could be for example youngsters, a village, a sports association and fishermen. Odsherred municipality will support mobilizing local groups.
The project period for all 17 SDG' is from December 2020 to June 2022.
From 20.10.20 - 31.10.20 you can experience the artists' project and help decide where the sculptures should be placed. It all takes place in Egehus - Anneberg Kulturpark.
Odsherred municipality is located on the north-western edge of the island of Zealand. It is surrounded by water on three sides and has a unique scenery with rolling hills, forests, some of the best beaches in Denmark and a very special light that has attracted many artists to the area.
Art & Culture
Odsherred has a strong cultural identity, with art, community and a creative urge pushing for Odsherreds development.
The best example is Annebergaparken, the former psychiatric hospital, build in “Bedre byggeskik”,
a special national-romantic architectural style.
“It is great that we can support the work of enthusiasts and a strong local community. When it also seeks to raise awareness of our local area, based on the UN World Goals with creative efforts, it is a pleasure to support the project with a great financial support. ”
